Our authentic stroganoff is a wonderfully hearty lunch dish.Roast Pork
Available every Thursday in all locations. Our pork roast is a traditional dish of Bavaria. It is a large (2 to 3 lb) piece of pork, usually a loin or shoulder cut, seasoned with salt, pepper, caraway seeds, and sometimes garlic. It is then roasted whole in a roasting pan in the oven. The drippings from the roast are made into a sauce, which is served with the meat. Try Denninger’s own recipe and we will see you every Thursday!Breaded Haddock fillet – Made with our special in-house breading recipe
Available every Friday in all locations.Rouladen
Beef rouladen is the most common kind of rouladen in Germany and Denninger’s still follow the traditional recipe. They are made of long, thin cuts of beef. The meat is seasoned with salt, pepper, and mustard. The rouladen are filled with bacon, onions, and a pickle. They are briefly seared in a hot roasting pan, then transferred to an oven for roasting and braised in a sauce. Delicious with a side of buttered spaetzle.Sauerbraten
This German beef roast is marinated for three to four days in a marinade of vinegar, wine, vegetables, and various spices. Marinating the meat tenderizes it, resulting in a soft, juicy meat. As the name suggests, Sauerbraten has a slightly sour flavour. However, it is served with a sweet sauce that balances this out nicely.Bone-in Ham
Denninger’s Bone-in ham is made from locally sourced Ontario pork and processed in our own facility to the highest standards.Schnitzel
One of the items we are best known for at Denninger's is our legendary schnitzel. We make traditional wiener schnitzel, pork schnitzel, and chicken schnitzel. There is a schnitzel for everyone's tastes at Denninger's.
A Wiener schnitzel is a breaded veal cutlet. It is dipped in flour, egg, bread crumbs, and then fried in butter or oil to a crispy golden brown. It is traditionally served with a lemon wedge, which you can use to drizzle fresh lemon juice over the schnitzel.
The Wiener schnitzel, by definition, is made with veal. However, today a "Schnitzel" can be created using different meats. We offer the following at Denninger's:
Pork Schnitzel
A breaded pork cutlet. These are usually made with thin pork loin cutlets also known as Scaloppini.Turkey Schnitzel
A breaded slice of turkey breast. Lower in fat and milder in taste than the veal and pork schnitzels.Chicken Schnitzel
A breaded, boneless, skinless breast of chicken. A mild-tasting schnitzel that tastes wonderful with cheese melted over top or any one of our ready-to-serve side dishes.Perogies
