Balderson Cheese Fondue

A delicious cheese fondue, using Balderson's cheese and Denninger's soft pretzels.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs of 5yrs old Balderson Cheddar Shredded – 675g
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 45ml 2 cups of Wilde Apple Juice
  • 1 cup of Calvados Apple Brandy
  • 1 tps of Cles des Champs Red Chili
  • 5ml Salines de Guerande Fleur de Sel to taste
  • 4 large Empire or McIntosh apples
  • 4 large Denninger’s Soft Pretzels diced into 1” cubes

Directions

  1. Pour Wilde Apple Juice into the Boska Multi Fondue pot. Set thermostat on position 5. Heat 10 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and shredded cheese together. Slowly add the cheese mixture to fondue pot, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add apple brandy and Cles des Champs Chillies. Add Salines de Guerande Fleur de Sel – Switch to thermostat to position 3.
  4. Dip skewered apple pieces and soft pretzels into fondue and enjoy – Serve 4.
