Summer Dessert Sweet Pavlova
Summer Dessert: Sweet Pavlova
Pavlova, a meringue served with fruit and cream, was named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. The dessert is believed to have been created in honour of the dancer during one of her tours to Australia and New Zealand in the 1920s. The nationality of its creator has been a source of argument between the two nations for many years.
However, some recent research suggests that the true pavlova has its roots in Germany. Whatever its origin, no country has embraced the pavlova like Australia and New Zealand.
You can make Pavlova easily at home. Start with Walkers Meringue Shells, top with Mackay’s Lemon Curd and, if desired, fresh berries.
